I was sitting at home feeling sorry for myself. I've got another sinus infection and have lost my voice, when a knock came to the door. There was the postman with a white box
When I opened it, this is what I saw.
This beautiful birthday card from Becky in America. The flowers are absolutely beautiful. Thanks Becky, it was worth the wait.xx

"For the Love of Pink" blog hop 1st July
Hi, this is a blog hop called "For the Love of Pink. It's also to celebrate Gill's big day (hope it was a great one). Come in and have a look at all the wonderful creations that the crafters have made. I am the last person on the hop and you would have reached me from 21. Denise http://vintageheartfeltdesigns.blogspot.com/.
For today's blog I have made the following card. I used a deckle edged white card and covered it in various shades of the colour pink. I coloured in a Candytuft Fairy topper and added some pink glitter to the wings. I matted and layered it on to glitter card and card and added some card candy round the edges of the picture. I then stamped the cup cakes and coloured them in and matted and layered those. I added the pink shoes and a stamped matted and layered Happy Birthday and some more card candy and made an easel card. I hope the lady in question likes this pink creation.

CBGM BLOG SKETCH CHALLENGE #10 - THE USE OF THE COLOUR BLUE
Here is my entry for the above challenge. I opted to make a scrap book page and based it on the Neil Diamond's Song Sung Blue. I use a blue co-ordinations 12x12. I rounded of the corners and then used a free paper and matted and layered a piece of musical notes paper. I cut around the middle and then matted and layered a photo of Neil on to a piece of yellow glitter card from create and craft and then a piece of dark blue co-ordinations paper. I then used blue flowers and buttons to decorate the page and wrote the first verse of the song. The flowers come from the fourth line of the verse, "every garden grows one".

CBGM Challenge # 8The use of round shapes
Here is the card that I have made for the above challenge. It is on a white deckle edged card. I covered it with a free paper that has coloured dots on. I then matted and layered yellow and pink paper then stuck on two large circles of green glitter card from create and craft. On top of those I glued down a white cotton doily with tacky glue, then glued down green buttons round the outside edge. On the inside of the doily I glued some gold sequins and inside that I glued a large yellow button on top of which I put a yellow flower from the capsule range by do crafts. To finish off I stuck down a yellow foam square on top of which I glued some more sequins topped of with another small circle of white foam. I then cut some leaves from green foam to finish off the card.

Here is the card I made for the above challenge. I used a deckle edged white card and covered it with the free daisy paper from a magazine. I then cut pink and green glitter card from create and craft and matted and layered it with more free papers. I then matted and layered the flower topper from the same papers, put a piece of green ribbon over the bottom. I then decorated the card with some daisies and roses and sequins.

http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com/2011/04/cbgm-blog-sketch-challenge-5-all-that.htmlThis is the card I have made for the above challenge. It is on white scallop edged card. The backing paper is from the Create and Craft range of glitter card. The other papers were from a craft magazine. The cupcake came from the same range of free papers. I covered the icing on the cake with 3d clear gloss finish and highlighted the stalk, cherry and cake case with a red glitter pen. I then matted and layered the cake on to co-ordinations blue paper and some more of the Create and Craft glitter card. I then added some sequins and bling to give it some more shine.

Wedding Day Cross Stitch Card
This is a cross stitch card I made for our new neighbours when they got married. I did it as a surprise and they loved the fact that someone had made something for them. It took about three days for me to complete. Just finishing it on the day they went to get married.
Everyone's favourite teddy bear.
This one I made for my daughter who just loves Tatty Teddy. I've done a few for her, and there is one that I have still to finish. The backstitch on this one is a horror to do.
The Star Ship Enterprise
Another chart I found difficult to find, this time coming from America. My sister asked me to do this as a present for her husband. The amount of black in this almost had me tearing my hair out. He did like it though.
Everybody's favourite fairy-Tinkerbell
I have done so many Tinkerbells that I could almost do her in my sleep. I've done three of this one. One for my lovely grand-daughter, who loves Tink, another for a friend and one for a certain lady who we all know loves fairies. I did this one on Aida that had a silver thread through it and it made it sparkle more.
Dragonfly over a pond with waterlilies.
This is one that I made for my sister who just loves dragonflies. Took an age to find one and eventually spotted it on the net. This took me a little while to finish as it was done on smaller Aida than I usually work with. It hangs in her hallway.
Mr Men & Little Miss Months Sampler
Another easy one to do. This one I made for my grand-daughter as a Christmas present. It's lovely and colourful and the red frame shows it off really well. It hangs on her bedroom wall along with all the other stitches I have done for her.
Oh Little Town.
This Polly Pickering design I made for another friend's 50th birthday. It was actually printed on to the Aida and it didn't really take a long time to do. About five weeks. Another satisfied customer. I enjoyed doing this one.
Tutankhamun
Another epic cross stitch this one. It took me about four months to finish this one. Again lots of colour changes and metallic threads to contend with. A friend who is into Ancient Egypt saw the chart and asked if I could do it. She was very pleased with it.
Cross stitch made by me for a friend
This is a cross stitch I made for a friend. You will see it is another one of Neil Diamond. If you don't know it by now myself and friends are massive fans of Neil's.
This one took a long time to do as there were so many colour changes. It was well worth all the hours of hard work that I put in to it. It now hangs on my pal's lounge wall.
It had 80 different colours and 12,642 stitches.

Cross stitch by Margaret
This is a cross stitch I made for a friend of mine. She was just astounded at how much went in to piece. It contains 10,666 stitches and uses 88 different colours. It took me a couple of months to finish, sewing like the devil.

http://creationsbygillm.blogspot.com/2011/03/cbgm-blog-challenge-4-pets.htmlThis is a scrapbook page I put together for the CBGM challenge #4 pets challenge. This little robin came to our garden throughout the horrible winter of 2009/2010.
He would come every day to my whistle and would let me up really close to photograph him. He was certainly well fed that winter.
I used a co-ordinations 12x12 to put the photos on to and I matted and layered the photos and story and added some embellishments to the finished piece.

CBGM Spring sketch challenge # 3.
This is my spring card, made for the CDGM design team. I used a scalloped edged white card and cut the papers to shape. I coloured in the rabbit and matted and layered it. I then added some embellishments to give it a spring like theme.
